Poetry: Wants and needs
Wants and needs, needs and wants.
Give me, please, I need, need, need.
My grandson says, and thank you,
Don't mention it.
I need, I need, I need,
New clothes, Daddy, I need,
Although the week before,
The closet was full because of greed.
The wife says,"Buy me a new car",
Not because of need.
The color,red, was wanted,
So yes, she demanded.
To want to excess is so shameful, people,
Maybe we need to head for the steeple.

The Whirlwind
The wind blows cold against my back ,
then burns against my face.
I feel it's pushing and pulling me around,
never
I want unbelieveable happiness,
Permanent sunshine, clear blue skies
Garnished ever so lovely by clouds
Distinctly poised
Sunrise you brighten my days, you lengthen my happiness.
Sunrise you fill me with a love and joy
that I never want to end.
What do I want?
I want to be kind
when it's easier to be mean,
I want to be enthusiastic
when I don't feel keen.
I want to be
by C.D. Pomfret
Fading Fast....
All I want to do is drink
Then complain about the wrath
I enjoy the time I spend while drunk
But dread the pains
