There are many times when I hear complaints from working citizens in America and think that most of their problems are outrageously exaggerated. Americans have gotten far too used to getting things in life with little to no work and it's sickening.
You want examples of lazy American society? I can give you a dozen.
Think of Roy Pearson, who drew up a frivolous lawsuit against Korean immigrants over a pair of pants. It's laughable to think that anyone would go to such eccentrics in order to make a quick buck over a pair of honest people, especially when he was an employee of our judicial system and should have known better. Every year, we have hundreds of lawsuits pop up across the United States that are just as useless that waste the tax dollars that could be used to help homeless individuals on the streets or funding programs to find lost children rather than pay for a judge to award $500 for a dented toaster or $1,000,000 for a woman who didn't consider the fact that her coffee from McDonalds would be hot before pouring it down her throat.
Think of mothers on welfare who refuse to work part-time jobs because it would interfere with their nightlife. They don't bother to get a better job to truly provide for her children because the government's already paying for her housing. If she were to get a better job she'd actually have to worry about her rent and utilities. They set aside their electric bills for months and risk their children freezing in their homes in the winter just so they can have the money to pay their cell phone bills. Some of them even go as far as to spend their government and child support checks on new outfits, purses, and trips to the beautician instead buying food for their own children.
Think of people who work jobs that give them more than enough money to keep their finances steady, yet complain in the break room every day because they have to be there eight hours a day. They don't care that they could be working in a dead-end waiting job in a Waffle House, barely making ends meet, and putting in four hours of overtime every night for table scraps. They don't care that they could be in another country where citizens only get paid $5.00 an hour for the same job they're doing for $15. They don't care that they could be on the side of a highway with only a bag and a cardboard sign with the words Will Work for Food' written in a magic marker that they had to borrow. All they have to do is sit in a comfortable office chair, sort files,
