It just shouldn't happen in the the good ol' USA
If you're like me, you are probably wondering what the heck is going on in this great country of ours.
Just watching the news tends to make me angry these days and I honestly wonder what kind of idiots we have running the nation. After all, don't most patriotic Americans get angry when they see our flag being treated with disrespect by gangs and hoodlums? In case you've been living in a vacuum, I'll tell you that it happens real often in some cities right here in America.
And don't most citizens of this country still expect our laws to be respected and obeyed? Yet, the United States is rapidly being filled with people who care nothing for the things we hold dear. Many of them actually would rather fly the flag of a foreign nation than pay due respect to the "Stars and Stripes."
Many of us get ticked off sometimes at the police if we are stopped for some traffic violation but when push comes to shove, the majority of Americans respect officers of the law and support them. Yet, it seems that the people we elected to run this nation are more obsessed with prosecuting the police than the criminals.
Down on the Mexican border, the men and women who are our first line of defense, the Border Patrol, have a very dangerous job. While watching Fox News the other day I saw several agents being attacked by people coming from Mexico. The thugs were throwing large rocks at the officers with absolutely no fear of repercussions.
No, in this day and time members of the U.S. Border Patrol are afraid to defend themselves for fear of being put in jail.
For instance, two men who should be considered heroes, Border Patrol agents Jose Compean and Ignacia "Nacho" Ramos are currently serving up to 12 years in the pen for shooting a drug dealer in the buttocks after he had fought with them and was trying to get away. "Unbelievable," you say? Yes, it's the absolute truth. And they were prosecuted because of numerous "notes of protests" to the U.S. Attorney General from the government of Mexico demanding that the agents be jailed.
And what happened to the drug dealer who was given immunity for testifying against the agents? Well, he was released and is still coming into this country making big money selling drugs to our children. The Ramos and Compean families have to depend on donations just to get by and I read recently that agent Ramos' family is in danger of losing their home.
