America is not only due for a revival, this country is in need of a total transformation. I believe that this country urgently needs God, but it is important to remember that he is not an entity that is out of reach. If we were to see our need for him as a nation, he would embrace us with open arms.

It is difficult to predict the fate of this country because we have taken prayer out of schools, got rid of the 10 commandments, people have tried to take the word God out of the Pledge of Allegiance and off of our money, and it just seems like people are angry with God. Could it be that the wealth of this nation has made us apathetic? Could it be that recent events in our history have caused us to feel insecure. I honestly don't know the answer to such questions. I do know that this country needs to go back to basics when it comes to God. I don't think that God ever intended for our relationship with him to be one of strain and struggle. Our nature as humans is to be difficult. I am reminded of the scriptures Matthew 11 versus 29 and 30: "Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." All he is asking is for us to lean on him.

It is only after we can trust God again that he will change this nation. I realize that we have a part to play (as believers). It is not our job to force God down people's throats, but it our job to be a living example of God. People are drawn to the authentic love of Christ. It is contagious! Once people are exposed, they cannot help but change. It is only then that a true "revival" can take place.
