Affairs do not strengthen marriages and relationships; they destroy them.

Both Maury Povich and Steve Wilkos have done numerous shows about cheating. I don't know why these people, who come on these shows to air their dirty laundry on national television, depend on a lie detector test to save their relationships. We all know that when they read the results, all you-know-what breaks loose! Then when they do follow-up shows, in some cases, the wounded partner takes the cheater back; despite the fact that they said on the show that they were finished with the cheating partner! Regardless of whether or not they pass a lie detector test, the problems are still going to be there; no matter what. It's nothing but a waste of time.

I was a big fan of the late actress Eva Gabor. She hated cheating and lying. When she found out that her last two husbands were cheating on her and having affairs, she didn't forgive them and take them back. She kicked them out and divorced him. For the last 12 years of her life, she never married again; even though she was going out with Merv Griffin. She said that she was finished with marriage and men because she didn't want to get hurt again.

When you enter into a serious relationship with a person, you have to remain faithful to that person. What do you think the marriage vows are? To love, to honor, and to cherish, in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer, forsaking all others, until death do us part. Nowadays, it's until somebody I like better comes along or I still want to date other people.

You can't have it both ways there buddy! boy. Although I've never been married or involved in a serious relationship, if my husband or boyfriend ever cheated on me, I would kick him out like a hot potato! Once a cheater; always a cheater! And besides, the Bible says that adultery is a sin. St. Paul also says to flee fornication as well; because that's exactly what cheating is.

At the same time, you can seek God's forgiveness as well. After all, Jesus died on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins and to give us all eternal life in Heaven. You too can be forgiven of adultery; just like Jesus forgave the woman at the well (the one who had five husbands and the man that she was living with wasn't her husband). But He also told her to avoid this sin.
