I have to agree that Texas Roadhouse is a step above the rest of the chain steakhouses. I worked as a server/bartender in one a little over a year ago and I have to say that I was so surprised at the this restaurant. I'm not biased because of my employment, oh no! I left on bad terms, but I was hired before it opened, so I got to experience everything from start to open. After having worked at a different steakhouse chain for 6 years, I was shocked at the quality of service and food at Texas Roadhouse!

To begin, the chain claims to hand make their sides, dressings and bread which is quite a claim indeed. But, this chain actually does hand-make every one of these items, minus the low-fat/fat-free dressings. I was in awe at the kitchen staff actually cooking raw rice and adding different seasonings, instead of opening a bag of minute rice and a seasoning packet.

The steaks are hand-cut, every day without fail, with makes them so much better than anything in cryo-vac. But, the steak seasoning is what makes them so flavorful and addictive! The servers are taught to really, genuinely care about the guests. Even though I had to quit my job there, I still love to eat there, and often. If you're lucky enough to have a Texas Roadhouse near you, definitely visit it.
