Is it just me or is there a lot of junk on TV and at the movies lately? I usually keep my television off until maybe the six o'clock news and even then I am exposed to all this reality crap thats polluting the airwaves of late. Stuff like America's next top model, America's next Inventor, America's next Producer, America's got talent. They usually consist of a bunch of idiots in some competition to get, well rich essentially. Who cares? I don't. I have to pay my electric bill for having this crap on so mostly I leave the set off. I don't need to see 'the nanny' trying to tame some kids behaving like little monsters because the producers asked them to 'ham it up' for the cameras. it makes parents everywhere look stupid not just for the behavior of these brats but for watching this crap and participating in it.
I don't care who the 'next best comic' will be either.I heard it was 'fixed' anyway. The producers already have a comic in mind for the final choice.Thats why they don't have 'celebrity judges' like they had in previous seasons, and in fact it was doubtful that they would even continue making the program. What a rip-off!
When it comes to crap, what about all that wasted airtime on people like Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, Lindsey Lohan and other so-called 'celebrities'. It's no secret that the media likes to build up these 'stars' and essentially cram them in our faces at every possible turn, then start to disassemble them by finding 'dirt' and even creating 'dirt' on them for the sake of what they say is 'news'.I think if those young women want to party and drink themselves into never-ending stupors, that's their business. And why does the media follow these personalities around like they do, hiding around corners, camping out in front of their homes, climbing trees to peek into windows? They have made invasion of privacy a very lucrative occupation because some morons who need to get lives of their own buy and read this crap at the supermarket checkout lanes. This is what the world has come to. My advice would be, you should not have 'heroes' that you, yourself do not personally know. Those celebrities aren't heroes. They are in it like anyone else would be, for the money. You think they care about you? Hah! So why in heaven's name should you? You may have some religious affiliation that subscribes to the well-being of others, and that's fine but come on! The real hero should be the supreme being you believe in, not some mortal that's here today and gone
