Offensive to many, I'm sure
But remembered by me
Indifferently

And the silence in the night
Made me jump to the window
Moth balls creeping from the closet
Masked the fresh new carpet smell
And the moonlight danced
On the picture frames in my room
Maggots in the trash
Slippery, filthy floors
And half finished drafts
With cigarette butts
