There is no humor in having an illness that forces you to take a medication. The advertisements for these medications on the other hand can leave you rolling on the floor in more pain. If you do not believe me just take the time to listen the next time you hear an ad being ran during your commercial break. Here are a few that I just have to make notes of in this article.
* I must touch on the subject of anxiety drugs. These areas of drugs include drugs such as Prozac, Paxil, etc. Your doctor prescribes these drugs to you so you assume that there will be little to no side effects. Again you REALLY need to watch the commercials on TV. You discussed the near breakdown with your doctor that you are facing in an attempt to get you back on track they prescribed you a good heaping dose of some type of anxiety drug. You fill the prescription and head home to pop the tiny feel good pill. One minute you are on top of the world. You are complete smiles and people are looking at you like you are an idiot because they have no idea why. The next minute you have had enough and are flying off at the little old lady in front of you in the check out aisle in the local grocery. Coming down from the unexplained anger trip you notice you have a spinning head. What is going on? Of course yet another side effect of your new anxiety drugs. Now you are sick to your stomach and can barely get simple tasks accomplished until the symptoms relax. Funny how the word relaxes would show up here. Had you relaxed before your emotions got out of hand you might not be in the mess you are in now.
* Allergy medication is another area of wonderful side effects. The medications included in this area are Nasonex, Allegra, Zyrtec, etc. We are annoyed by our itchy watery eyes and constant sneezing so we make a trip by our doctor's office. Exam complete we have allergies. We are given a prescription and sent on our way. We are taking this medication to make us feel better when in fact we may end up in a worse condition. Some allergy medications make us less able to fight off infections such as chicken poxs or measles or even to heal from surgery or an injury. Get in a situation like this and you are back to the get go of itchy watery eyes and constant sneezing due to the inability to continue your allergy treatment. Now we get lucky and have no set backs due to illness or injury we should be clear to go right? Not so fast. Your eyes will clear and your sneezing stop but you may begin to have headaches,
