I completely agree that fraternities and sororities cause more harm than good. This sense of having brothers and sisters has been applied incorrectly. Most fraternities and soroities are made up of girls and guys that think very highly of themselves when around their "brothers and sisters", however, if you were to corner one of these individuals by themselves, they would crumble right in front of you. These people are so insecure, that they need to be around their" brothers ans sisters" 24/7. What do i think? I'll tell you straight up, that I think that soroities and fraternities are pathetic in the way they up hold themselves, and those are usually people that end up achieving nothing in their lives. College is for one reason, and thats education. There are however, many pluses such as, meeting new people, discovering new places, and learning many life lessons that have nothing to do with school. Many freshmans say, "Well I want to join because I want to meet new people." Well to tell you the truth, your better off meeting someone in a class, and hanging with them afterwards and from there you develop new friendships with people that you actually do want to hangout with. My advice for people that get bullied by these type of people, is do it right back to them and do something even worse to them. It does not have to be painful,...but it does need to be humiliating to them, and if you need to get friends together then get friends together, do anything it takes without physically hurting them or anyone around, to take them down. Do that, and no one will be mesing with you, and with time, the reputation of these hurtful people will be a bad one.
