A gift for the person who has everything...

This just happens to be my area of expertise. I actually buy gifts for a living. I purchase gifts for my companies clients who happen to be the movers and shakers of the world...so, what do you buy someone who has absolutely everything? A person who has the best of the best?

The first thing I would suggest doing is finding out some information on the person you are buying for. Do you know their favorite hobby? favorite food? color? Anything is helpful. Once you get some basic background information on them start looking around and see what you can find. Here are some suggestions: I know someone who loves New York City so, I bought him a pair of cuff-links made out of vintage subway tokens. This was a great gift because they showed I knew a little about him and they weren't ridiculously expensive. Another one of my favorite gifts to give is a specialty cake from Nonnie Wallers (www.nonniewallers.com). They specialize in pound cake that is put into the most gorgeous fabric covered hat boxes and then they put a fresh flower nosegay on top. I can't even tell you how wonderful this is to open up. The presentation is fabulous! Another great gift idea is a box of exquisite chocolates, I happen to be a big fan of Z Chocolat (www.zchocolat.com). They are a French company and they package all of their chocolates in the most adorable wooden boxes and you can even have them engraved. The chocolate is divine! I felt like such a princess when I opened up a box of chocolate from France!

Now, if you're reading this and thinking "Yeah those are great but, chocolates and pound cake are not going to impress this person", then I would suggest checking out Signature Days (www.signaturedays.com). There are alot of websites who specialize in experience gifts so, if you don't see something on their site just do a search for other experience gifts. At this site you can purchase a gift of skydiving, driving an Indy 500 race car, and swimming with sharks, to name a few. There are also gifts of pampering like a shopping day with a stylist in New York City. If the person you have on your shopping list really has everything you can certainly find a great experience for them on this site. What guy doesn't want to be a fighter pilot for a day?

Remember that a great gift doesn't have to cost a lot of money it just has to be something meaningful.
