Solving back problems and more with the help of a chiropractor

I believe that Chiropractors help relieve back pain. However,I would only go to a McTimoney Chiropractor because they work with the whole body. From the top of your head right down to your toes.

If you have a problem with your back then finding the root cause is more important than just temporarily relieving the pain. If the chiropractor realigns your back but not other parts of your body then you will still have problems with your back. A McTimoney Chiropractor uses the least pressure (a quick flick) to realign the bones in your body. Therefore balancing your whole system and creating ease and physical well being throughout gives you a better chance to alleviate the problem.

Having said this I don't believe that Chiropractors alone can solve the problem of back pain if it is a chronic case. I believe that specific specialized stretches need to be done regularly everyday throughout the day. These exercises must be designed to strengthen the inner core of the body. The inner core starts with the abdomen muscle. This needs to be strong so that it draws the buttocks into place which in turn makes the shoulders drop but lifts the breast bone up from trapping the lungs. Deep and wide breathing is also essential, squeezing the lungs of air at the same time as pulling your tummy in. This can be done lying on your back with your knees up whilst supporting your bottom with your hands. Just lift your bottom of the floor using said tummy muscle. It can also be done standing with your back to the wall as a way of getting use to using this muscle in everyday life. This way it stops you throwing your shoulders back, which puts more strain on your back. Correct posture is essential for relieving back problems.

Sometimes other issues hinder the strengthening of the back and tummy muscles. Anxiety for instance. I wonder how many people who suffer from back problems also suffer with anxiety? Anxiety often manifests itself in the tummy...and the digestive system goes to pot too. If you have tummy pain from anxiety then strengthening that core tummy muscle to alleviate back pain is very difficult. Finding out where the anxiety originates and then being counseled on it so that the issue can be confronted. Homeopathic remedies and/or Flower Essences can be useful to help change behavior that is causing the fear.

So yes I believe that a chiropractor can help solve back problems but if it is a chronic case then there maybe other factors that need to be solved in the process. My advice to anyone thinking of using a chiropractor is do so as a temporary thing rather than as on going pain relief.
