Sweet Breath
Once met then soon thereafter kept
of dew and downy meadow blest
where stalks toward their sun drunk morn
and blooms are finally born.
Grasses green, still moist respond
unto the breezes swept upon
dispersed their scantly perfumed air

and taste of remnant residue
my lips have drawn and depth reveals
in essence every pore conceals
Never more had breath inhaled
whilst tendered mouth to mouth prevailed
nor fed the deepest need among
your whet and wrested tongue.
