As far as a good steakhouse goes I have found that I like Texas Roadhouse better than the other chains and I think it is as good as a lot of the high dollar steak houses. I never found atmosphere and ambiance very filling. How much better can a $75 filet be better than a $15 filet. These big name fancy places don't do a thing for me.

I have eaten at 5 different Texas Roadhouse along the front range of Colorado and everyone of them has been good and the wait staff has been knowledgeable and very attentive.

To start out with they have salted peanuts in the shell for you to munch on while you wait to be seated which is never very long. They have several good appetizers and my favorites are the deep fried battered onion which I believe they call a "Texas Rose". I also like their grilled bacon wrapped stuffed jalapenos.

They have several different salad options but i like just their house salad with blue cheese dressing and blue cheese crumbles.

As far as the main course goes they have all the cuts of beef. My favorite is the 16 oz ribeye cooked medium with a baked sweet potato. My wife usually gets the small filet with a baked potato. They have good pork chops. Their chicken fried steak is really good and BIG, Their catfish is very good too. Oh you can't pass up their homemade rolls with honey-cinnamon butter.

My favorite dessert is the fruit cobbler with vanilla ice cream on it.

I have eaten at one in Colorado Springs, two different ones in Denver, one in Ft. Collins and one in Greeley and have never had a bad experience in any way.

Oh yes, they have consistently good coffee at everyone I have been to. For the money you can't beat TEXAS ROADHOUSE.
