How keeping a clean house helps depression

How keeping a clean house helps depression. One way to put a dent in depression is to have a feeling of control. Keeping a clean house may sound like baby steps, but steps none the less.

Cleaning has many benefits for one who may be depressed. The benefits are keeping one distracted for awhile from one's worries. Another benefit would be an increase in organizational skills. Here is a nice one. A sense of accomplishment.

Chaos and clutter in one's home is overwhelming for someone if they are anxious or depressed. So clean the house and relieve at least a little bit of depression. Then one can move on to other tasks. Knowing they have gained a sense of accomplishment in one area may be enough to spur the depressed person onward and upward to reaching other's goals, once their hovel becomes more of a sanctuary for them.

Once again, clean your house well, develop organizational skills. Clean your home, get a respite from your worries. Clean your home and revel in a sense of accomplishment.

A depressed person often feels they have little or no control. Get control of your environment and your thoughts. Get cleaning.
