while trying to change and dress my toddler i usually try to have a toy near so he can play with it. That way the toy occupies him while i change him.
Most of the time this works, but if it doesn't then i just talk to him.
I find that talking to him and making baby sounds keeps his attention focused on me and not so much what I am doing.
Another things that I find might work is changing him while the tv is on.
If there is a program on that he is watching he keeps him eyes on the tv and not me.
These methods will not work every time. But its worth a shot.
In mu oppinion it is better to keep the child focused on something other than the fact that you are changing them. The more you play with the child or get them involved in some other activity the better chance you have of changing them without the fuss.
