Most inspiration comes from the world around us. Anything can trigger inspiration. It can be a car horn, an oddly-shaped cloud, a conversation, or a tall cup of coffee. So if you want to be inspired, the trick is to find these inspirations. And one of the best ways to do that is to get up and go for a walk.
On a walk, you can sip a cup of coffee, have a conversation with a friend, watch the clouds, and listen to the nearby motorists honk their horns in traffic. You'll feel inspired in no time.
A walk not only gets your blood flowing, it will often get your creative juices flowing as well. We've all been working on a project at one time or another and hit that creative brick wall. Sometimes you need to step away for a bit. But don't flip on the TV. Don't check your email. Get outside and hunt down your inspiration. You're probably not going to find it in your Yahoo inbox.
Life moves fast and furious, and sometimes we're too busy to be inspired. But a good walk will give you a chance to slow down and find that inspiration again. Before you step outside, bring a pen and note pad with you. Many wonderful ideas have been discovered and lost on the same walk. Write down your valuable thoughts on your walk so you have them when you get home.
It's hard to find inspiration if you stare at the same four walls all day and night. You need to get out into the world. Look around you, take note of things you've never noticed before, be reflective and introspective, or have a passionate discussion with someone. Your inspiration is out there, and a nice, peaceful walk is one of the best ways to find it.
