The idea that all people can come together under the banner of the open church movement is ludicrous. The mere concept reveals a lack of knowledge, and an absence of saving grace. It sounds nice though I have to admit, a kind of spiritual, "Can't we all just get along?". I agree whole-heartedly that tradition when applied to spirituality is dangerous and in a very real sense deadly. But not recognizing Truth is ultimately a guarantee of eternal death.
Allah is not God and Muhammad is not Jesus Christ. Buddha, Confucius and any other man-made deity you would like to conjure up are also not God. There is only one who can claim to be God, the One who actually visited this earth to prove His existenceJesus Christ, God in human form.
As a man, killed for claiming to be equal with God, but as God, raising Himself back to life, confirming He was who He said He was. To worship a god of your own making is the epitome of stupidity. You may choose to worship any deity you like in any way you like, but please spare me the "It doesn't matter, because they are all the same" nonsense.
