At this stage in both of their respective careers, I would much rather have Kobe. Kobe is the ultimate scorer. His ability to assassinate his opponent is unparalleled at this point in his career. You can clearly see that basketball is his life, beyond the money, the fame, the controversy, and the untimely statements that are made in the media. Kobe is the one player in the league that has all of the tools needed to be spectacular every night. The mental capacity that he has for the game of basketball is virtually unmatched. Kobe can drive left or right strongly and finish with either hand. Kobe's jumping ability puts him into the top echelon of the NBA's best players in history. He can dunk on anybody at anytime. He's been a dunk champ, although Lebron's best dunks take place in the game, Kobe has an extraordinary array of game dunks to his credit. Kobe has a Three-peat under his belt which makes him a champion. While Lebron destroyed the Pistons in the Eastern Conference Finals, he did not react well to the double teams that the Spurs displayed in the Finals. In my opinion, KB24 would have singled-out one defender in the double team and directly attacked him in pursuit of a bucket. When Kobe sees two defenders coming his way, he doesn't think double team, Kobe thinks challenge. To realize this point better, check out the highlight against the Phoenix Suns when he faced the double-team in the corner. Kobe looked trapped but to our surprise he turned away from the defenders for a fade-away trifecta. I want Kobe on my team because he is dedicated to getting a win. His offensive prowess is higher than Lebron's right now because Lebron is a pass first type of player. Lebron is a good player and in time he will develop the eye of the tiger. Kobe came into the league with that tiger. Everyone gives Kobe a hard time about trying to be like Michael Jordan. If you wanted to be the best basketball player you could, who would you pattern yourself after? Kobe is the closest thing we have to enjoy the days of Jordan. In fact, Jordan's basketball spirit may very well be living through Kobe Bryant.
