When traveling with baby you must be prepared. Since you can't take your whole house with you, you must learn what your baby needs and what is best to take along when traveling. It can be a lot of preparation but definitely worth it if you bring the right things.

Thinking about how long and how you are traveling is an important step. If you traveling by car, plane, train, bus etc. there may be different things that you may want to bring. If possible schedule your trip to avoid the busiest time or travel.

It also depends in how old your baby is. Different ages require differnt things. If your baby is older you may want to bring more toys that they can be occupied with and differnt snacks to keep them busy. Of course sippy cups for older babies and bottles are a must on the list.

Here are a list of things that you will want to pack for baby to secure a good trip.

Drinks ~ bottle or sippy cups, bring cold water in a thermos as well.

Snacks ~ Bring plenty of differnt snacks to keep little ones happy, as well as for the entire family.

Toys ~ Plenty of toys that will entertain baby as well as older children if you have any.

Diapers ~ Bring plenty! This is one item that you definitely do not want to be short on.

Wipes ~ Bring plenty! They are handy for spills in the car as well as diaper changes.

First aid kit ~ It is always great to have one packed with you. You can never be to safe. Put all the essentials in it and always carry with you.

Stroller ~ Bring along a nice lightweight stroller to help you with baby.

Clothing ~ Make sure you bring plenty of extra clothing. Baby's can be pretty messy and you want to make sure they always have a nice clean set of clothing to have on hand.

Bibs or large towel ~ Bring this item along to help with any meal times messes. Place it around baby when they are snacking or eating at mealtime and then you can dust off outside and then roll up and reuse later.

Hat ~ To shield baby from any sun that may be in the way.

Car seat ~ When you are loading on a plane, train or car etc. you will want to bring along a rear facing car seat with you for added protection and of course it is the law.

Cordless Bottle Warmer ~ This can be a great item to carry with you to warm baby bottles while on the road.

Ready to feed formula ~ This can be a lifesaver when traveling with baby if you bottle feed. Even if you breast feed you can try to give it to baby to see if she will take it.
