Keep mosquitoes at bay
Article ToolsDid you know that what you use to make home made ice cream can also get rid of those pest, mosquitoes? A friend of mine suggested this to me and of course I had to try it. Rock salt, yes, rock salt put it in any standing water you may have around your home. The rock salt prevents the larvue from growing into those nasty bitters. I also have found it didn't hurt the tadpoles that were in my pond. Which to me was a concern because we all want to be rid of pest, but not the wildlife. So if your like us and cannot help but have some standing water for them to bred in we can atleast keep them from forming into the bitting machines they are. I'm sorry I don't know how long the rock salt last (when to reapply I just learned this new trick, will let everyone know when I find out myself.)
