In Mark 16:15 (Amplified Bible) Jesus Christ tells us to " Go into all the world and preach and publish openly the good news (the Gospel) to every creature [of the whole human race]." If God has already decided who is and who is not going to spend now and eternity with Him, why does He tell us to share His Word with all people? Showing and telling the Word with all people is the responsibility of the children of God, but it is God, the Holy Spirit, who moves throughout the world looking to convict us of sin and a need for a savior (John 16:8). Sin is wrong thoughts and wrong behavior. God chooses people. He chose the Apostle Paul (Acts 26:17). He choose the prophet Jeremiah (Jeremiah 1:5). God doesn't only choose His ministers; He chooses all His children (Romans 9:15-26). Jesus Christ explains in John 6:44 (Amplified Bible), "No one is able to come to Me unless the Father Who sent Me attracts and draws him and gives him the desire to come to Me, and [then] I will raise him up [from the dead] at the last day."
You are not going to choose Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord unless God the Father reveals who Jesus Christ really is to you. When Jesus Christ walked on the earth in His human body, people had all kinds of ideas about who Jesus was. Some said He was one of the Old Testament prophets or John the Baptist come back to life. Others said that He was a new prophet. But these people were missing the real nature of Jesus Christ. They could not accept the real nature of Jesus Christ because God had not revealed Himself to them. In Matthew 16 when Jesus Christ asked His disciples who do people say that He is, the disciple Simon Peter said that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God, the Messiah. Jesus responded by saying in Matthew 16:17 (Amplified Bible), " Blessed (happy, fortunate, and to be envied) are you, Simon Bar-Jonah. For flesh and blood [men] have not revealed this to you, but My Father Who is in heaven." It was not Simon Peter who figured out who Jesus Christ was; it was God the Father giving Him a revelation. When somebody does not acknowledge that Jesus Christ is the Son of God; ask God to reveal Himself to them. Show and tell the Word of God (the Bible) with people who do not have a relationship with God, but understand ultimately it is God who will have to reveal Himself to these people before they will choose Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord. Is there somebody that you have asked God for a long time to bring into relationship with Him? Stop stressing. Keep planting the Word. God will bring the harvest of their soul at His timing.
Remember even John the Baptist who was the prophet announcing the coming of the Messiah, did not recognize the Messiah before God the Father revealed who the Messiah was to John the Baptist. John the Baptist says in John 1:33-34 (Amplified Bible), "And I did not know Him nor recognize Him, but He Who sent me to baptize in (with) water said to me, Upon Him Whom you shall see the Spirit descend and remain, that One is He Who Baptizes with the Holy Spirit. And I have seen [that happen-I actually did see it] and my testimony is that this is the Son of God!"
All power of good rests with God. Since human beings are not good, they cannot choose good unless God intervenes.
