This is an incredibly bad idea. Most publications of news have what is called an editorial page where citizens can have their opinions or notes published.

You know, this is such a bad idea, I can't even believe I'm reading it. At one facet, I see corny as all get out. At another facet, I see possible danger. Still at another facet, I see the possibility for anarchy.

Bloggers and citizen journalists getting credentials so they can cover Congress? It's a joke, right?

Okay, okay, so every body's a writer now. And there are not already enough problems in the United States. Hey, man, I mean why do drugs? Just do some really strange things. Like send bloggers and citizen journalists to cover Congress. Americans are so experimental, they're scary.

I think the person who came up with this idea has been smoking some really good hash. Quit it. It isn't fair.

Look at it from a Congress man's (or woman's) point of view. The game is on and here comes some schmuck who thinks she knows what's going on. The Congress person throws some logic over her head, hoping she'll go away. She does and quotes the Congress person. Americans read it and take it seriously.

Oh, the possibilities.
