i drew a line last night
and then nothing.

you said the other side
and full. and breaking
bread with penetrated hands,
you asked me did i love you.

i dropped my nets to follow
and then everything

you said i tasted,
honey of words whispered
to a kneeling faith that washed
my unclean feet at seder.

i said else was for myself,
but serving others
leads to immortality.
