What problems do we face as a nation when baby boomers decide to retire is a great question. However, I'm not sure many baby boomers will retire when the time comes because of rising costs of health care, gas, groceries, and everything else. Retirement income will help, but people will need more money to live based on how much everything costs in this world.

If your a lucky baby boomer that gets to retire then you can enjoy life and do some traveling. When the baby boomers decide to retire then it opens all kinds of doors for others that are waiting for specific jobs. Hopefully, the younger generation can fill the gap. However, the news I'm hearing is that the younger people are less qualified and not capable of filling the jobs.

I figure there will be more service businesses opened that focus on Senior citizen care. There is a lot of guesses what happens when baby boomers retire, but if I could know the future then I would be a rich person.

I just hope the younger generation can fill the gaps in employment if baby boomers decide to retire all at once. However, I believe baby boomers will at least work part-time throughout their lives based on the cost of living and health care costs.
A lot of companies require retirees to pay all or most of their health care, which is why I believe baby boomers will keep working in some capacity at least.
