Poetry: Motherhood

~ My Izzy ~

You are my incredible boy,
My little sweet tater pie.
You are the reason I live.
For you I would die.

Your smile enlightens me.
Your hug makes me feel warm.
I hope I can always,
Protect you from harm.

I want to be a good example.
I want to learn from you.
I want to be,
All you want me to.

I like to play games with you.
You are as smart as can be.
Looking at you is like looking in a mirror.
You are just like me.

I will always be there.
I will never go away again.
Mommy is here,
Until the end.

I want to take your pain away.
It hurts me to see you sad.
I want to hold you and cuddle you,
Even when I am mad.

I want you to have,
More than I ever did.
I want you to live life,
And enjoy being a kid.

I would do anything to make you happy,
I love to see you smile.
You are wonderful,
My little man-child.

You are my inspiration.
You are a world of fun.
You are my precious.
I love you, my son.
