Positive lessons from network marketing

FIVE GREAT LESSONS LEARNED

Five positive lessons I learned about network marketing through running two very different network marketing business from home are:

Lesson 1 - If you believe in the product, it will sell itself. How many products or services have you paid for in your life because a friend told you they were good? You just cant help sharing something that you are passionate about.

Lesson 2 - Meeting new people and extending your network is great for your social life. I recently worked on a magazine project and I almost lost count of the number of people that I met and actively involved in the magazine simply because I had a great level of belief in the product. Many of these people will be life long quality friends. I was amazed at how many people said yes when I asked them to get involved.

Lesson 3 - If you do something towards your business every day you WILL get results. Network marketing is a numbers game and if you talk to enough people you get a positive outcome. It's great to have a spreadsheet with targets and to measure your successes as you go.

Lesson 4 It allows you to be in the driver's seat for your life. Network marketing is flexible and allows you to take control of your day.

Lesson 5 It is portable and that makes it practical. Need to pick kids up from school? Need to do some shopping or visit a friend? You can take your business with you wherever you go. If you go to the local shops, why not flash a card or flier at the checkout girl or wear a pin that asks an outrageous question to engage them. After all, the idea is to strike up a conversation and away you go!

It is possible to be successful in network marketing. I have many friends who have been in the same network marketing businesses for the past 15 to 20 years and are now starting to reap the rewards of their labours. It didn't happen overnight but eventually all the hard work has paid off and many of them are retiring early.
