When is a marriage not a marriage

by chulya

We all hope that when we get married it will last forever. But in many cases today it does not. Most times people will say I do. But they really be thinking I am done. For many they seam to worry about finances more than anything. If your spouse does not care about your finances then they don't care about you. If they met you with financial problems and marry you. Then they should not have a problem with your debt right. Wrong. Quite a few feel that your debt is just that yours.

Lack of communication is the big problem too. If people would just talk things out like rational adults then they could solve a lot of issues. No communication then you are not married. In addition to that you need to respect each other. No respect no marriage. If your spouse call you anything to belittle you then that is definitely not a marriage. If your married for money, lust or to be on a power trip then you are not married, You are in a relationship but it is definitely not a marriage.

Some people seem to believe, "I am married because my children need both parents". That is not a marriage that is called scaring your children for life. You not only hurt your children but you hurt each other in the process. If you don't truly love each other then what is the point of saying you are married when it is just marriage on a piece of paper. When you are not able to here each other call without speaking, miss each other if apart for a few moments, be best friends for life and your love grow deeper each year then you don't have true love or a true marriage.
