A "THANK YOU!" is always great! There are many ways to thank employees for their loyalty and hard work. The verbal "thank you" is always appreciated; it makes everyone's day to hear a boss say "Great Job" or "Keep up the Good Work." Actual gifts are nice too. An employer is wise to show gratitude. It helps staffs bond and keeps morale high.
Gifts do not have to be large or expensive. A pen with the employee or company name helps staff feel like part of a team. When a boss buys gifts for the entire department it is a bonding experience. Whenever someone displays or wears the gift everyone has the feeling that they are special because their boss distributed gifts. Especially in today's work environment, where employees are often overworked due to cutbacks and turnover a token of gratitude from the boss goes a long way to make employees feel valued.
A thank you gift also helps to solidify the company image. If you want your company to be known as a firm that cares about the environment give out tree seedlings or seed packets to employees. If you want to be known as a generous boss get some gifts from Tiffany. They sell many items that are affordable and elegant. Everyone always likes notepads or letterhead with their name or initials on it. And around the holidays a fruit basket or gift related to the holiday the employee celebrates is always fun. Employers also sometimes give out certificates saying that money was donated to a charity on behalf of the staff. That makes everyone feel great.
Some employers also give the gift of a day off for employees to do charity work. This benefits morale and humanity. A cash bonus at the New Year or holidays is also a special way to say thank you to the staff. Raises that show team spirit are great too; a boss who shares the company profits with employees will always be beloved.
It is very nice to be appreciated. Showing employees you care doesn't cost much. It will lead to immense loyalty and a great reputation for the company.
