A walk for sanity might be a good way to keep our minds "fresh". A fresh mind means you're envigorated or re-energized. When your psyche isn't re-energized, it deteriorates and it can drive you insane. Being couped up for a good while can do that to people. Which is why a good walk can do wonders on your mental health and air out your mind. The mind needs a very good airing out once in a while.
A good walk can also calm a possible emotion maelstrom brewing in your mind. Yes, everybody is subjected to an emotional maelstrom which can be caused by a variety of situations, events, and/or circumstances. You could get all emotional after an emotional break-up in a relationship or a painful divorce in the marriage. There's all sorts of emotinal baggage and drama associated with break-ups and divorces.
You need to calm those emotions and get it out your system because life goes on no matter how bad things get. Life goes on and you need to go on with it. If you don't, everybody else moves on while you're left in the past by yourself. You need to get it out of your system or it's going to hinder your everyday activities. A good walk around is the best way to calm the emotional storm.
If there's a death of a friend or beloved family member just recently, take a good walk. Think about the good times you've had to together. Walking is a good way to think about how those people lived and how they died. Also, walking is also a sign that you're "living".
If you need to get out of the house, then take a walk. Taking a good walk will do you good. That's pretty much self-explanatory. Take a good walk to escape the chaos of the household. Could be your spouse, in-laws, parents, siblings, or children that could be driving you nuts. So take a good walk around town when you can. You're be emotionally and mentally healthy when you come back to the household.
There are so many things in the world that can drive a person insane. I myself am not immune to emotional storms that could drive a person nuts. But, I've learned that a good walk definitely takes a load off of your shoulders.
Having relationship problems? Take a walk.
Got into an argument? Take a walk.
Lost your job? Take a walk.
Spouse or lover cheated on you? Take a walk.
Problems at the workplace? Take a walk.
Death of a friend or a family member? Take a walk.
All of the above? Take a walk.
In short, take a walk. There are so many things that can drive a person nuts. But you can't let it get to you. Life's too short to let all that stuff drive you insane. So, take a walk. If more people would take walks to calm themselves down, perhaps we wouldn't have that many social problems.
