Unfinished Sonnet
I wanted to tell you just how I was feeling,
about the way things went.
I wanted to write about love and life,
and how our nights were spent.
I wanted to say all the things I found,
inside this heart of mine.
I wanted to write down everything,
but I just ran out of time.
To you I write this unfinished sonnet,
I hope that you don't mind.
That I never got around to finishing it,
but I hope that you will find
When you read it all and come to the end,
and see nothing left but air,
I hope that you'll be able to read,
All the words that just aren't there.

From somewhere dark,
Hidden and untouched
Deep inside of me.
