I like the field of running backs this year. Not a huge difference from last year. Well, here they are.
#1. This should be unanimous. LT is by far the best RB in the NFL. He now has the season TD record. I was fortunate enough to have him last year, and believe me, it was HUGE. In my league I he averaged around 40 points a game. In comparison, the other top RBs averaged around 20.
#2. Frank Gore. I know unlikely candidate, however he has been improving the past couple of years. I think he has a slightly better O-line in front of him, and the passing game should improve to take some pressure off of him.
#3. Steven Jackson. I know I wished I had him last year, and I think he's built some confidence and momentum going into this year. He is a hard working back who will get some yards and TDs after contact. Good Choice.
#4 Larry Johnson. LJ had his big year when Holmes went down. He had something to prove. I think he got overly confident after that. He wasn't quite as productive last year, and I really don't know how he will do this year but the uncertainty drops him to #4.
#5 Sean Alexander. This may be a little high for him, however he can be a great back. He should have his quarterback to help him out a little, too. He hasn't been the same since his foot injury. But this year he could be back.
