Poetry: Describe yourself

Glance In The Mirror

I glanced in the mirror,
to catch an image of me.
Just a shadow of whom,
I used to be.

The little girl
looked back at me.
her dreams were gone,
she grew up, you see.

Her memories were cast,
of a long time ago.
Who knew they would last,
and keep hurting her so?

The past will always be
a part of you.
Its better you see,
than being blue.
