Should parents or schools lead the way in teaching children about homosexuality?

Article ToolsIt is my belief that education on all groups, including homosexuals. Many parents of certain beliefs against groups, religious or otherwise, try to shelter their children from what they believe is 'wrong' or 'sinful'.
Unfortunately for those parents, at some time, their children are going to live on their selves in the big world; and their sheltering has given their children no benefits in dealing with the world.
I'm not saying that Schools should 'promote' homosexuality, but that students should know that there are people that might behave differently to themselves, but that those people are still the same as they are.
Schools should also make available the resources to students who might be confused about their sexuality, to ensure that they get the support they need.
