I don't think that the question here should be whether or not women work harder than men, but rather why do we care? Surely there are some things at which women work harder than men do, just as there are some things at which men work harder than women. That is the way of nature and the way of life. Chances are, if you're complaining that you work harder than your opposite sex coworkers and are unnoticed, you're working in a field that is dominated by that opposite sex. If you are a woman working in the oilfield, you are going to work harder than the men in that field for many reasons. First, because you likely want to keep your job. Second, because you know that it is easier for a woman to get fired in the oilfield than a man. And third, because you know that if you want to advance you have to be noticed. And to be noticed as a female in a male dominated field, you can't just be satisfied with being as good as everyone else. You have to be so good that they will overlook your gender. The same thing goes for a male receptionist or child care worker. The reasoning behind this is plain and simple, and logical. Men are designed for certain kinds of work and women are designed for certain kinds of work. To cross over these gender lines goes against basic natural instinct, and is therefore harder. You can like it or not, you can call me an anti-feminist or a gender traitor for pointing it out or whatever makes you feel better. The simple truth is that it doesn't matter if women work harder than men or if men work harder than women. What matters is that if you want to play in the neighbor's yard, then you have to play by their rules. Stop whining about wanting equal treatment and get on with it, if you really want to be treated as an equal then earn it by proving them wrong about YOU and leave your genitalia out of it.
