Great venues for selling your arts and crafts

Crafting helps ease the soul, but we all know that there is a limit on how many knitted scarves you want to own. So finding somewhere to sell your beauties seems like an answer to our problems. Here are some different ways to try.
1) Consignment shops-
places that take still in good shape household items and clothing are perfect for selling your home-made fashions to. Only problem is if you are still knitting roosters onto aprons... most only take todays fashions. But for the revolutionary crafters of younger generations who are knitting punk rock beanies or transforming old tee-shirts (which is low budget- you already have the shirts... just need some thread...needles...maybe some perks to make your concoction that much better) consignment shops are perfect. Go to cityguide.com and search for consignment and thrift stores near you.

2) If you are gonna do E-Bay... do it on the computer. There is definitely more hassle, but those Sell it on E-bay stores are no good in my opinion. They take a high percentage and will lower the price until it sells.

3) Livejournal.com-
is a free blog space where you can create your own blog featuring your items and you can also check out your competition!

4)Etsy.com-
sign up and page is free... 20 cents for every item you put up ( you get up to 5 photos for each listing) and then when you make a sale they get 3.5% of total. So say you sell that apron for 15$... they take about 53 cents... that ain't bad, and I believe though I am not sure ebay is more than that. Also its a great sight for ideas.

5) Schools.. Churches... Craft Fairs...
Most schools have fairs, where you can rent a booth for a fixed price and sell your items. Churches also do this and craft fairs are held in city squares and parks (I tend to see them in the fall). There are also different community events such as Balloon Festivals and Renaissance Festivals that allow you to set up a booth. Just google your city and state with craft fairs... you'll get results.
