Car reviews: 2007 Ford Mustang

Caution: If you think about the new mustang too long you will start to make car noises, this applies to sophisticated Males and Women alike!

Talk beauty, talk style, talk performance, just don't talk when a mustang with the new 4.6 liter V-8 goes by. It sounds sooooo nice. I'm not the only one who thinks so, either. You can get sound files on the Internet of the engine doing its thing and doing it with different exhaust systems. Muscle car meets Indianapolis with just a touch of Lou Rawls.

The Stang is back. Looking like it might actually be the descendant of the original. Performing in a way that makes those classics seem like they might have been made a long time ago. Go ahead; make your best car sound now.

One of the things that a Mustang did was it sold in a price range that you could afford. It still does. $19,250 gets you a mustang with an improved, very capable but unfortunately overshadowed V-6 that will still spin tires and get you to 60 in 6.6 seconds or a quarter mile in 15.0 seconds, not bad, not enough? 25,625 gets you that V-8 with a 0-60 in 5.1, the quarter mile in 13.9, sounding good? Just a touch over 40K, The Shelby Mustang GT500, go ahead, say it out loud and see how it feels. Shelby Mustang.GT500.
0-60, 4.5, quarter in 12.9. That eats the new Nissan z car, much faster than the Audi TT Quattro, eats the infinity G35 and M45, the Mazdaspeed Miata can admire your taillights while visiting with the just passed Mitsubishi Eclipse. Don't feel bad guys, there's also that Porsche Boxter coughing up dust. Just think about what you could do with a little tweaking with this car. It intentionally delays a full power take off.

These cars get a not too bad in class comparison 15-19 city and 21-28 mpg highway.

Complaints are minor and unavoidable like the seats to low for me, or the back seats not big enough for the kids or the engines to loud for me. Go buy a minivan, the convertible has a tiny trunk too. Basically Critics, Owners, the NHTSA and even "It's no good unless it's Japanese" Consumer Reports love this car. Did I mention it sounds good too?
