The best person(s) to answer that question is undeniably the parents! The teacher's must voice there educated opinions as well. But who no's our children better than we do? I have two children that were very young when it was time to go into kindergarten. They were both intellectually ready for it, but there's so much more to it than that. Are they ready emotionally, physically and socially? The answer for my children was no. They both attended a pre-k program. It was incredibly helpful and productive for my kids to have that transition period. They were able to find there place socially among the other children and to become more confidant. It was much less awkward for them once they began kindergarten. It also allowed for them to embrace the academics with less apprehension and they were more focused. So I say let parents make the final decision. They no what's best for the children they chose to bring into this world!
