Humor: Bad days

It all started on a hot and balmy summer's night. The night wind was blowing warmly against my face. Every star in the heavens seemed to be shining just for me. As I stood at the rails of the ship watching the water slip slowly past. I wondered where I would go next, I was once again a single woman that could do as she pleased.

Who could have thought that I would run into the man of my dreams, on a cruise after my messy divorce. It was as if I was reading the pages of a romance novel and it was some other lucky woman that was destined to meet Shaun. However, it was I; yesterday I was standing in the exact same spot at the railing when I turned to walk towards the games room. While backing away from the rail I stepped on a wet spot on the deck, beginning to tumble to the side I grabbed for anything to stop my fall. I felt something warm in my grasp and heard the surprised gasp from my unsuspecting rescuer.

It seems that I had unbalanced him as well and I landed with a harsh bump on my bottom along with the handsome stranger. Staring into the bluest eyes I had ever seen and blushing profusely, I could not believe my luck of all the people I could have grabbed onto why he had to be so handsome. Speechless form shock of the fall and the look in the startled blue eyes looking at me, I shook my head as if I was some teenager that had her first crush.

He was first to speak "Are you alright? How bad are you hurt? Should I call for the ships doctor?"

Stuttering in reply "Nnno I will be fine. I am so sorry I grabbed you. I am so embarrassed."

After removing ourselves off the deck, he dipped his pretend hat and headed off in the direction of the bar. I watched as he stepped through the door and turned to walk towards my cabin. Still feeling like a bumbling fool, I entered the cool cabin and headed for the bed. Laying down for less than a second I though what am I doing I should go by him a drink, after all it is the least that I could do after the rather inelegant stumble which led to him also ending in a heap on the deck.

I quickly threw on my little black dress, grabbed my purse, and headed for the bar. As I walked through the door I tripped on the step and straight into the arms of the very same handsome strange. Shaking his head, he could only smile.

"We really must stop meeting like this you know! My name is Shaun. At least this time we are still standing." Shaun chuckled to hide his own embarrassment.

"Hi Shaun, I'm Cassey. Can I buy you
