The question has been posed, "Does the US have a moral obligation to stay in Iraq until peace is secured. The answer is undoubtedly, "NO".
Our rather unreasonable reasons for going into this situation were immoral, unethical, and un-American. They were based on lies and manipulative deceit on the part of some very unethical and immoral people within our government. The American People fell for it. The American and Iraqi people are dying for it. We should be asking ourselves, has life become so insignificant to us that we support such immoral and unethical actions on the part of our government? So insignificant that our troops are sacrificed so unnecessarily and in such great numbers for greed and selfishness of Madmen in our governments?
There is nothing "Moral" about people dying by the thousands! Are we so controlled by Madmen today that we really believe that War is Moral? If this is the case, then I do not know where I am living because the America that I grew up in was not a country that carelessly started wars and attacked sovereign nations based on lies and deceit. The America that I grew up in, hated, detested such types of actions on the part of our government. It would not have tolerated the government initiating a war with Iraq for something they didn't do. And it would not have tolerated the government trying to brain wash the people into believing that Iraq was responsible for 9/11 when no country was responsible for it. The America that I grew up in would have not attacked but sought out a more peaceful solution and co-operative effort on the part of the UN to find and capture the Individuals responsible for the attack. And the America that I grew up in would certainly impeach a president who started a war with a sovereign nation and committed the war crimes that have been waged on innocent Afghans and Iraqis.
Many people join the military because they truly believe that they can protect their loved ones and friends from harm. How can they protect anyone if they are dead? Many courageous soldiers who have served in Iraq tell a drastically different story than those we hear on the nightly news. Believe me, they are not fighting for Americas freedom; they are fighting for a Greedy and Selfish Government. The American people have no say in this matter. Nor do our troops. The only way to support them; the only way to save them, is to bring them home.
Our government promised that they would rebuild Iraq, yet they continue to destroy it. Our troops continue
