If you maintain a healthy diet and a health lifestyle it will reflect on your skin. By eating a healthy diet one can ensure that skin remains healthy, beautiful and glowing and one can also eliminate the signs of ageing from appearing on the skin. If you eat a correct and healthy vitamin enriched diet you can shine from both inside and outside.
Foods containing antioxidants help in getting rid of the free radicals in the skin thus preventing any age related damage to the skin. Vitamins particularly, vitamin A, E, C are very important for maintaining a healthy skin.
Eggs and carrots are a good source of vitamin A, which is important not only for healthy skin but also for health eyes. Citrus fruits (oranges, lemons and kiwis) are a good source of vitamin C. Also all varieties of peppers (green. Red, orange and yellow) are also rich in vitamin C. Vitamin C acts as an important antioxidant, it also helps in zinc absorption which is important for healthy skin. Vitamin C also helps in manufacturing collagen which is important for maintaining the elasticity of the skin. Avocados are a rich sources of vitamin E, which again is important for maintaining healthy skin. Brazil nuts are a rich source of selenium which helps in strengthening hair and nails. Bananas are a rich source of potassium, fiber and potassium - a mineral which helps in building your muscles and prevents your skin from drying up. B Vitamins are also important for healthy skin and eyes. They prevent sores and cracks from developing in the cracks of your mouth. They also prevent the development of ulcers, sores and fissures over the tongue. Milk, bread, potatoes and meats (both red and white) are rich in different types of B vitamins. Eggs, cheese and milk are a rich source of calcium, which is important for health teeth.
