I'm going to be a little hypocritical during this article. I certainly do not think Coach handbags are worth the money. As, a matter of fact I don't think Louis Vuitton is worth the money. All of the designers have some beautiful handbags but, why spend so much on a purse?!?!?!?! Over the weekend I started contemplating getting a coach bag and when I went into the store and saw that the wallets retail for $150 I decided that is just not for me. I just can't do it...I spend a ridiculous amount of money on designer makeup and I have to admit I did just purchase a pair of Chanel sunglasses (which, I contemplate taking back every single day). I know for myself I would feel too guilty carrying around a three hundred dollar bag - I mean seriously, I'm not spending that much money on something that gets put on the floor of a public restroom (and how many times have we all set our purse down on the floor in a bathroom?). I do not begrudge anyone who spends the money however, with the fake Coach purses out there it is almost impossible to tell the difference. So, people are spending a ton of money on a status symbol that the person next to you spent $25 dollars on in Battery Park...It seems kinda silly to me...by the way, I bought a purse at Target for $6 this summer and have gotten more compliments on it than my $300 sunglasses. It just goes to show no matter how much you spend on something it doesn't always make a difference.
