'Short story' ... whenever we hear this all sorts of curious and interesting thoughts come in ou minds.

Now imagine that you are among those most successful professional writers and you are told to write a short story to paticipate in the contest which may lead you to heights.... The immediate thought comes in mind of all great and famous writers is ... 'wow! let's do it ! and there you are ... already started striving in the hope to achieve that topmost position reserved only for the luckiest person.

There are a few tips which if adopted will I am sure help you to reach there where you think is your position... the topmost of course !

1. Write original.

2. Write realistic events.

3. Write something different.

4. Write something out of the ordinary.

5. Write something which catches the interest of readers from the beginning up to the end.

6. Remember first impression is the last impression so the introduction should be the most important part of the whole story.

7. The idea of the story given in the introduction should be reflected throughout the story.

8. The conclusion should also form a mojor part of your story.

9. Remember that some people in a hurry just glance at the first and last page to get the idea if the story is readable or not.

10. The body should also have as any interesting narratios as possible along with some famous quotations, sayings or the like.

So my dear participants... try your luck! ... Write something ORIGINAL; DIFFERENT ; NEW; etc.etc. and that top place is secure for you. Afterall you are also one of the famous programs like HELUM writers !
