Reflections: The Myspace Age

I just started on myspace.com not too long ago: http://www.myspace.com/midnitewritr. True to form I kept my pen name. So far I do not have too many reflections. I went from writing.com to here so I took many of my pals with me. I found the forms on the other sites bulky and lacking in interaction OR it was not the "write" interaction.

I am looking for other writers and reviews of my work and so far it's been hit or miss. I hope to gain a new audience with myspace and keep track of my work somehow. I want to know the potential of myspace and am looking forward to the interaction.

I wrote my first blog entry on there this evening and liked the interface better than most sites. Jury's still out, though, it may not be a nice interface if I have to delete a lot of comments.

I was also afraid I was too old for myspace, being in my later 30s and all, though hardly anyone would know. My writing sometimes attracts 20-somethings, which is fine. I write like I did in high school and college.

I also posted photos on there. Always good to have them spread around in case, HUSH, your computer collapses!

I feel myspace has a lot of purpose and potential. I hope to learn from others what they have done and how they have used this as a tool to communicate with others while furthering their endeavors.

Kudos to myspace, a welcoming venue so far!
