Of course there should not be any link between spirituality and psychiatry!
Psychiatry itself, is a godless field. The psychiatrists themselves, believe that they and only they are the elite of this planet. They believe that man is an animal and not worthy of decent treatment. If they believed otherwise, barbaric 'treatments' such as psycho-surgery (pre-frontal labotomies and trans-orbital leukotomies) would never have been tolerated by the profession, nor would they tolerate Electro-Convulsive "Therapy" which actually fries brain cells.
ECT is dished out regularly to the elderly, particularly women. This procedure injects an enormous amount of electricity into a person's brain and in order to keep the body from convulsing, the person is given heavy drugs prior to being attached to the electrodes. The result is a fried brain.
Psychiatry is not even a science. There is no scientific test for mental illness on which this entire profession is based. Ask any psychiatrist what scientific test he or she administers to test for mental illness and they will tell you that there is none, just like they will tell you that they have never cured anyone if you ask.
There is a chasm between psychiatry and spirituality. The spiritualists acknowledge the existence of the spiritual nature of man. Psychiatry treats man like a dog.
It is time to take an honest look at this 'profession' for what it is - a barbaric leftover from the middle ages that needs to be abolished.
