The best gift I have ever received was a little over a year ago when I found out that I was pregnant. I wasn't expecting to get pregnant this early, because my wedding wasn't set for a several months down the road, but miracles are sometimes unexpected. Approximately 5 months later I found out that I was having a baby girl, which was what I had hoped for all my life. When it came around time for the expected due date, I waited and waited all day long, and hoped that I could have her in moments. Instead I waited 3 days longer and I just hadn't gone into labor yet. I noticed small amounts of fluid leaking and didn't think much of it, so I continued on my way to Virginia to visit my Moms house for my husband's birthday party. Sure enough that small amount of fluid was followed by contractions, and they got closer and closer together. I then went to the hospital, and they told me to walk a little while to help the dilation. I waited and waited (and waited some more) and approximately 18 hours later I laid my eyes on the most beautiful little girl in the word, my daughter, Lyndsee Nichole. She was my gift from above, and I truly realize that the best gifts are unexpected and unanticipated. She is my life, and my greatest gift of all.
