Poetry: Warriors

Rose Warrior

On a battle field of flowers
I am a rose amongst many
Fighting a war of survival
Weeds will march upon my ground
Leaving battle scars upon my bed
Marking its name upon my petals
Crippled, I might stand
But I hold my head high
For strength is my stem
And courage my roots
My beauty shines forth
Because I refuse to hide
Within the shadows of my enemy
The garden is a battle field
And I am a rose warrior
With the fear of courage I stand
For I will not be conquered
