There are plenty of reasons as to why children still live with their parents. One may be that they are working through school and need to save up extra money for living expenses. Another reason may be that the parents need someone to help them around the house because of illness or even loneliness after the death of a spouse. Some children may be living at home because they just enjoy it. You even have the moochers who just don't want to accept responsibility for themselves.
I am 23 years old and live at home with my parents and my son while my husband drives semi. I didn't always live at home. I had my own home for four years until my husband got out of the military. I do feel guilty about being home because it makes it much harder on my parents sharing their small home with us. We are making attempts to get back out on our own again but it isn't always an easy task. The last thing I want to do is to get another place of my own and then not be able to make it and have to move back in again.
There are many reasons as to why some of us just cant stay away from mom and dad. I can't tell you if its right or wrong because it really is a personal choice between the children and parents. I do think that as adults we should all have our own home and privacy at some point. However, I do think it is best not to rush. You want to make sure you can make it on your own and be dependent on yourself.
