The word Rapture is not mentioned in or taught in the Book of Acts nor is it found in the Bible, but says Heb 9:11 He will appear the second time to those who watch for his coming that are not living in sin. Nine times in the New Testament we are commanded to watch for his coming, referring to judgment and to be prepared not living in sin. In Acts 1:11 we find those watching Jesus go up into heaven standing there without purpose or focus on what he told them to do. They were just satisfied looking up into heaven watching for his return. Jesus sent two Angels back to disperse the crowd and they told them Jesus would return the same way he left. This tells us we are not to foolishly stand around gazing up into heaven but get our focus on the work of the lord. Jesus has commanded us to watch for his coming and that focus is on how we are living and what we are doing when he returns, not believing in a doctrine of his return for salvation, but living a life like you believe he will return. And with him he will bring a reward for the living and the dead.

As we know our dead is with the Lord. 1Cor 15: 32 Paul again speaking on the dead in Christ, saying if we who are alive are the only ones who have hope in Christ we will live miserable lives knowing we will die and perish.1Cor 15:32 Paul said knowing that my life is in danger every day and I am thrown to beasts for my preaching, if I had no hope of going on to be with Jesus I would preach eat drink and be merry you only live once.
