The only time I feel alone is when
I go to sleep at night
I lay there praying for the light
Hoping things will soon be right
And in the morning when I wake
This sad thought I cannot shake
A smile in my day is fake
"I'm alright" I say to me
In hopes my heart will soon believe
I feel as though the pain won't cease
A single tear rolls down my cheek
I won't succumb to agony
Thoughts of him I turn to peace
So I can live with my heart free
